Australian writer, Pauline Yates, likes to write about the ‘what if’s’ that keep her awake at night. When she’s not burning the midnight candle researching ideas, she loves watching apocalypse movies, debates with anyone who’ll listen about how dystopian societies start, and argues with her cat about his need for breakfast at 3am. She also enjoys taking photos of the sunrise, if she wakes up in time.

A writer of speculative fiction, horror, fantasy, her short stories can be found with publications including Metaphorosis, Abyss & Apex, Aurealis, Beta Noire, plus others. She also likes entering writing competitions, and loves the challenge of writing to a word and time limit.

Pauline can be found on Twitter@midnightmuser1 where she enjoys participating in monthly writing prompts with the crew from #AusWrites, and chatting about all and anything writing related.
